FROM FASHION AVE TO MOTHERHOOD + BACK AGAIN. 3 FRIENDS WITH 3 DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES ON FASHION, BEAUTY AND LIFE.... AND UNLIKE OUR CHILDREN WE LOVE TO SHARE..
This week we are all about "Green" and I mean all things green, irish clovers, green fashion, even being green. Doing things that will help us protect our planet.
This website was sent to us Mamas a few weeks ago and we knew as moms we wanted to share it with you. I cannot tell you how many papers pour into my home everyday from school. The one's that I know someday will be treasures will be my children's artwork. Some pieces I have framed, and some are in a tupperware in the basement.
Chad Turingan created this NEW website called Dwawings. A new FREE website where you can finally save your kid's drawings and share them with your family and friends.
Chad's experience working at an elementary school, he noticed overtime, students drawings, artwork and projects accumulate and as much as he would like to keep all of them they ended up in the trash *cough, cough* he meant recycle bin!
This inspired him to create this website where you become a member and simply upload pictures of your children's artwork. So simple and easy and GREEN!!!!
Feeling itchy and dry? Give a bath oil a try. You don't have to sit in the tub, step out of the shower and give one a rub.
Neutrogena Light Sesame Body Oil, a classic that screams out high school to me. That being said I had fabulous skin in high school. Hmm..
Ginger Gloss-there is a reason Oprah picked the line as one of her FA-vor-ITES (you know the voice). The crisp scent, and skin softening spray will have you talking LIKE thIS all DAYYYYY...
Alba Kukui Nut Body Oil-smells like tanning oil. You do too know what tanning oil smells like you big liar.
and reminds me of when my babies were actually babies. Plus I hear that's what Jennifer Anniston uses, and if that's her secret, Costco here I come..........
Kate's last post on Organic Baby products inspired me to blog about a product that I am extremely excited about. So much so that I took a job with them as an independent sales Rep for the Northeast region of the United States!! The product is called Hushamok and it was designed by a husband and wife Mark and Julie Soboil. Mark is a South African Native and Julie is a Massachusetts gal whom I was friends with long long ago and because of Facebook we reconnected. Julie along with her husband and two boys now live in New Zealand and now thanks to the world of social media are only a keyboard away!
Parents, naturalists and design connoisseurs Julie and Mark have combined their parental experience, aesthetic standards and international business savvy to introduce to you the Hushamok Organic lines. As world travelers with a strong background in the Environmental Sciences, the Soboil's looked into all cultures and continents when as parents they were faced with an impossibly Colicky and sleep-challenged baby. Their search for an appropriate solution led them to the notion of the baby hammock, which offered near instant relief for their baby. Yet nothing existed that met their strict criteria combining the practice of naturally sleeping baby with great design. The couple set out to pair inspired design and engineer with clear health benefits for baby and in 2006, Hushamok was born. Made with modern eco-friendly materials this beautiful piece of nursery furniture is like a piece of art!
Below is the Hammock with the Okoa stand constructed with sustainable European beech wood and detailed with aluminum castings!! GORGEOUS!!
Awwwwww!!! Pictured above they also make a baby seat that can be used with the Okoa stand or it can be purchased with an aluminum stand. The My Seat is designed for "awake" time while it is not a baby swing, its natural movement is ideal for babies. The My Seat is for babies 12 weeks of age and can continue to hold up to 50 lbs!!! My youngest Drew is 4 not quite 50 lbs yet... and loooovvveeess the My Seat!! So this product has years to grow into!!
First off the product is Oragnic and beautifully designed with such simplicity but what impresses me most as a mom four times over...... about their products is the medical benefits It guards against potentially serious health concerns that can arise during a baby's sleep such as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Flat Head Syndrome (Plagiocephaly) and Infant Acid Reflux. Hows that for piece of mind!!
And if you have a restless bundle of joy this hammock is just the thing and you will be quoting it as a "Dream" come true!! Remember when you carried that baby in your womb and when you were active during the day the baby would be very still. Night time when you were still the baby would kick like it was filming an episode of dancing with the stars. Anyway, this hammock provides a gentle motion that will soothe your baby to sleep!! Unfortunately for me this product was a few years too late when my twins were born. My idea of green was a man made double bouncy seat made out of PVC Pipe that I would carry the twins around in. When they would cry I would bring them outside so they would hear the wind blowing through the trees! Believe it or not it always worked! Fortunate for me this was my second pregnancy. No longer a nervous first mom I would just leave them outside go back in the house and finish making dinner. LOL!!! My mom would come by same time every day and come directly to the back porch where she knew they would be! Desperate times call for thinking outside the box and this is exactly what Mark and Julie did! And now parents and babies around the world are so happy they did. The website one more time in case you missed it is www.Hushamok.com
