Call me a rebel but I am still wearing open toed shoes. And it's after Labor day. You heard me right. Transitioning from loose flowy cotton fabrics, into a fall palette of more fitted wools can be quite a downer for this mama. this floral dress, layered above is perfection, but not for everyone. With a tall flat boot and tights/leggings, there's not a chance it's any less comfortable than old jeans and a tee, yet a thousand times haute-er.

Hello Everyone!!
Well I needed to share with you my fabulous find and the fact that I am a hopeless romantic!! One of my favorite movies is Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle ( yes I would fly across the country to see a man who I thought I had a connection to by hearing his voice on the radio! ) Some would say that is a bit creepy but I am secure enough with myself to say that I am level headed and extremely romantic! Life is about taking chances!! :-)
On my recent trip out of town I had a chance to shop and I came across this White Halston Heritage gown!! 70% off!! It was so simple and elegant I had to try it on!! Well, the instant I put on the gown I heard Meg Ryan in my ear saying... this is a sign! LOL!!!!! It is my size and I just happen to be thousands of miles from home!! This gown will have a story someday! So I decided to buy it!!
I have recently gone through a divorce and everyday I make an effort to keep looking forward and making my dreams a reality! It is empowering to make choices for yourself, as scary and as hopeless as you may feel sometimes I have learned through this experience that everyday you grow and you get a bit stronger. This dress is a reminder to me to never become too cynical and remain the hopeless romantic I am!!

I have had severe writers block these last few days Whew!!!! So glad it has past!
As we are winding down this summer we decided to recap on all the Haute discoveries we made this season!! One in particular came to mind that I needed to share with my fellow Haute Mamas!! This summer I discovered a great store called Francesca's Collections. I have walked by this store many times without going in because it looked too eclectic for me. The windows were busy and it just looked like a lot of "stuff" until a friend of mine said to me have you been in Francesca's yet?
Well, this has become my go to store for that cute, unique, summer dress. Or a piece of fabulous jewelry! This store is a find and so reasonably priced!!! I'm hooked!!

If you are not from our state you can check out their website!! There sizes run true and the quality is about what you pay for it. You may only get two seasons out of a piece of clothing but you will look Haute and Trendy and feel confident and beautiful and that is worth every penny and especially when it doesn't break the bank!!!!
