I know I have talked about this store before here on our blog BUT with so much excitement going on with our Boston Sports teams these past few weeks, I feel the need to give them a shout out once again. My go to store for stylish sports apparel is Roster. They carry burnout tee's, Banner '47 retro looking apparel for both guys and gals and so many more. I decided to sport the Alissa Milano line called Touch at the Boston Ballet this past Saturday night! Hey it's the Stanley Cup Play Offs My Man!! I did get a few looks but a " you look adorable" from the bathroom attendant followed by a "did they win?!" I told her I was a tad nervous leaving the house before the game was over. My t-shirt could have gone really wrong that night had they gave up the lead!
I wore this tank with a lacy slip underneath and my perfect black trousers from Gap ( these pants are another post for another day PERFECT indeed! Love them), BCBG heels, earrings from Express and my black blazer from Forever 21.
Roster is located at Natick Collection, Fanuiel Hall, Dedham Legacy Place. Come on Mamas lets stylishly watch the Bruins advance to the cup this Friday and while you're at it throw in some Celtics and Red Sox too!

I said to myself if there was one thing I would own for this spring/summer (who am I kidding) any hoot it would be a pair of high waisted flare jeans. As you can see I am a women of my word. Definitely a job hazard as a blogger and connoisseur of everything fashionable I researched and found me a pair. Wahllaa!
I love these jeans for many reasons, born in the 70's I was instantly drawn to them as I remember my mom rockin a pair of these bad boys when I was a little girl. Second when I bend over to pick up after the kids my pants do not need to be adjusted if you know what I mean mamas. No grabbing at the belt loops and hoisting them up again!
Now I will note I am a size 8-10 definitely a curvy Mama so I think these jeans can flatter many body types.
I would like to personally thank J.Lo and Kim Kardashian for bringing back the bootie, junk in the trunk, gluteus maximus, baby got back whatever you would like to call it!!
My ten year old daughter Caroline was my photographer for this post. At this point I was acting goofy to really get her eyes rolling! By the way she enjoyed the shoot so much she asked for a $13,000 camera! anyway moving on........

Sorry for the delay in posts this week. One of my perfectly angelic children decided that they would boobie trap the stairs with toothpicks. My youngest fell victim to the prank when he ran down the stairs and stepped on one. Mom however was the one most punished as I have had to carry my 48lb 5 year old around for an entire week. Ah life as a mom of four.
However, this mama did manage to make it out Wednesday night along with Kate and Christina to Cynthia Rowley on Newbury Street Boston for a very fashionable, enjoyable and very successful event. The Mamas and I along with Aj Williams of Creative Events had the Cynthia Rowley Boutique filled with a very lively and fashion forward crowd. We sipped champagne, nibbled on these amazingly moist cupcakes from Party Favors Brookline, laughed, talked fashion, careers, children, laughed some more. There were Mamas getting complimentary hair styling by Shannon Walsh of Jeffrey Lyle Salon. Other Mamas trying on pieces from the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2011 line. Did I mention the amazingly moist cupcakes! Not your mom's funfetti my friend!!!

It was such a fun night! As hard as it is to juggle everything to get a night out as well as living 60 miles away from Boston, Christina, Kate and I still make it a point to experience these sort of events, because we know a good dose of laughter, friends and fashion is just enough to charge these Mamas batteries.

This past wednesday was a blah! rainy day but for some reason all I could think of was color! I wanted to wear color, I stopped at a store to browse and found myself only looking at clothing that had vibrant colors. As a muralist obviously I love to work with color and I think recently working with all my passions such as fashion and art has led me to my latest addiction, COLOR.... It's a good one and goes so nicely with my other addiction, DRESSES!!!! So color me happy this spring!!!!

We love a good dress as much as we love a good party, and man were there plenty. While I missed my beloved live from the Red Carpet, you can be sure the gals and I were glued to our phones, Tweeting and Facebooking, looking at each other puzzled, questioning, "What's going on with Reese's hair? No one likes Reese's hair." "Everyone loves Cate Blanchett-who's she wearing?".
Fast forward to Tuesday..So here are our choices based on what we've seen on screen. Meaning on our computer screens. And it's our blog so awards are handed out only after about four minutes of thought and comparison (those of you with children do not need explanation).

Happy Valentines Day Mamas! Who doesn't love a day that starts with candy for breakfast (mini eclairs chez Lord), candy for snack, candy for lunch, it doesn't end? God bless you Mr. Cupid! Kimberly and I spent the day, and I do mean day, volunteering at the children's school and in between handing out, what else-candy!-we discussed, what else-the grammys! Oh what a night!! Pods, and wings and all sorts of things. How about the Biebs? Even my Lexi has the Bieber Fever now, he was that good. And Lady Gaga? The pod thing was, well, Gaga, but her performance made me forget she arrived in arrived in an egg (11 short of a dozen).
We had quite a few "hautes" and it's always interesting to see if we had the same. We are anxiously awaiting our own Red Carpet on February 27th, so you can be sure we paid extra close attention to the stars last night.
Kate: I am a Pucci girl, so of course I was all over J. Lo and this uber haute number. And the shoes? Sometimes ya just gotta let the shoes do the talkin'. Haute.

Kate: Selena Gomez showing something teen actresses don't show enough of: class. Well done, and well done in J. Mendel (clap clap). Only wish she'd have walked the Red Carpet with her other accessory-Justin Bieber.
Kim: Agreed this was my favorite dress of the evening PERFECT everything... hair, clutch by Judith Leiber, Lorraine Schwartz Jewels. LOVE!
Kate: The fact that my favorite DWTS dancer is dating my favorite Ryan Seacrest makes the fact that this is not my favorite dress..almost forgettable. She's so beautiful that who cares, she could be wearing a paper bag in all honesty. Plus-she's-dating-Ryan-Seacrest-people!!
Kim: I disagree, I loved this dress by Catherine Malandrino she is one of my new favorite designers!! Ask Christina as I was pleading with her to let me buy a cobalt blue dress by her in New York! She kept saying your chest doesn't fit in it put it back the dream is over!! Lol!! SIGH!

Like a good cake, you can't have too many layers when dressing this winter. The innermost layers should be thin, lightweight-think tanks, camis, followed by a button down or cashmere top. Don't be afraid to throw in colors and/or stripes! Experiment mamas! Top it all off with a great jacket, heavy sweater or fur vest and you'll take the cake!
