The RL Gang, Polo Ralph Lauren's first online story book, chronicles the story of 8 children as they embark on their first day of school, donning, what else..Ralph Lauren.  Harry Connick Jr. narrates the story, in which young readers (and their Amex wielding parents) will be able to click and purchase items worn by the story characters.  15% of purchases made between now and Sept. 15 will be donated to Connicks New Orleans Habitat Musicians Village.

"Each person, man, woman or child is always a character to us. We are always taking them on an adventure, so this is a direct extension of our vision. I love the concept of the gang. 8 year old fashionista: It didn't make any sense.  But I loved some of the outfits. 

7 year old clothes horse: Was that boy wearing a tux?

4 year old princess: I loved it! Loved it! It was sooooo good!!!!  Can we watch it again? NOW!

Admit it..every single one of you cheered on Trista (and Ally..and Jillian..) when she chose and eventually married her bachelor.  And then she became a haute mama! Twice! Fashionable back to school movies, haute mama style

We love doing movie nights here, and with summer coming to a close, why not end it with a Back to School Movie Night, Haute Mama style. Films have always played a big role in fashion, yet has anyone ever realized how fashionable, school centered movies really are?  Some of the best of the best, when planning your BTS movie night, haute mama style:

-Clueless.  You're totally clueless if you can't see the fashion connection here.  Like totally for real.....

 

-Ferris Buellers Day Off. Ok, not really school centered.  Andddd...Sloan wore one outfit the entire movie, but OMG.. the fringe jacket with the shorts...the white boots....That was the 80's people.  In a nutshell.  White boots and fringe.  

Note the shoulderpads..Ferris messes up once, and she'll tackle him like an NFL linebacker.  And not feel a thing.

-Grease.  What girl (and heck, some guys) doesn't want at least one Sandy moment in her life? Taps love interest on the back, only to have him swing around and BAM! Girlfriend's rockin' the look..no need to explain the look to all you mamas out there.   Danny Zucko shaped right up, right there. And not once did he step out of line again.

-Love Story. You want to know what love means?  It means timeless style, effortless good looks and 40 years later, they still look this good.  There's a LOT to be learned here fashion wise..

Teen Vogue, my secret go to when I want to know what's really haute.  Seriously..who knows better than a teenage girl (like duhhhh)?
